Complaint against Airtel Broadband
I hope you will receive this mail in good health. I am writing this in regards to my application for new broadband connection made on 24/12/2011 CEF no. 695020(Gurpreet Singh)Your local airtel office in Shastri Nagar, Ludhiana gave me a number of a sales guy(GAURAV) to contact for new connection, He collected the relevant documents on 24/12/2011 along with the initial charges of Rs.500 and promised me that the connection will be up and running by Tuesday 27/12/2011. No body turned up on tuesday and try to get a hold of him for whole day and answers I got was ‘ I am busy”I am getting it done’ and on and on, later in the evening he handed his phone over to someone else and claimed that he is busy in a meeting, the guy who attended my call didn’t gave me his name but gave me a different number of a guy called JAGDISH who he told me was a team leader, spoke to that guy extremely rude and not even interested in listening to any details and hung up, by that time I was really upset and called GAURAV again and thankfully he picked up the call and I requested for refund and he than promised me that connection will finally start on Thursday 29/12/2011.And the result was as expected no sign of anyone visiting the property or contacting me regarding the connection. I went to the same office again on Friday 30/12/2011 evening and was introduced to a person named ONKAR and he came out to be one of the senior staff of the office and gave me satisfaction that the connection will definately be running on monday 02/01/2012. I felt like Airtel is checking the patience level of a customer, although many companies are getting the same connection in about 2-3 days. Well after considering no sign of improvement and no connection even I have again made several visits to the same office and the girls at the desk giving false promises ‘ one more day’ one more day’ and eventually they gave me the number for a guy called GAGAN CHATWAL’ which they said is the head for their office and he has got all the control and authority, Well I spoke to him as well and he again gave me a sign of hope stating that I will definitely get it done my tomorrow 04/01/2012 and the result was no connection, and when I asked him about it he started giving me a row and and threats that do whatever you wanted to do and since than almost three days have passed no sign of connection, no updates nothing.
I will really appreciate if you can consider looking into this matter and try get some sort of resolution, I Know How much money I have spent on phone calls and petrol for a visits to your local offices and you also have to keep in mind the amount of stress and harassment I have got because of this .As a customer I was expecting a good and honest service from a leader brand in the market which is completely been let down. There is no communication sent to the customer regarding updates moreover if you ask you are in trouble or you will have to crap from your well educated staff. I am really sorry for making this as a big email but I really wanted to cover all the necessary issues which can give an idea how customers are being treated.

After everyday conversations this guy named GAGAN CHATWALL as agreed or even promised me to get a wifi without any charge as UI’, Tahoma, Verdana, reimbursement or a compensation for all the stress and time it has taken, eventually today(17/01/2012) after a long wait the technical guy turned up and asked me to pay for the wifi modem however I refused and gave him details for Gagan to contact and surprisingly he denied to the fact that he ever agreed, you can easily notice the amount of rudeness and anger he was showing towards me as if he a someone who can do anything ang again started giving me threats do whatever you wanted to do, ‘ Its not my problem that you didnt get your connection on time’ for a minute I thought whose responsibility is that customer’s. I am really upset with the level of service and unprofessional behavior of the people representing the company. After so much struggle the connection is not installed moreover he is clearly refusing to refund the initial cost as well.
