I have purchased a videocon jumbo 34 flat ctv model 8600 qs under the maano ya na maano offer on 6-04-2008 from jiwan electronics p-37, west patel nagar , new delhi -110008.

Under this scheme i also entitled for a scheme of maano ya na maano offer , where i was supposed to get a plasma 32 inch after completion of 2 years & 11 months , the serial number of the certificate is 151301 .

Today i called your dealer in west patel nagar to check about the status of the offer , he suggested me to call aurangabad branch at the no. 02431 251501 , i called the number had a word with rep he give the no. of delhi rep name OSAMA no. 09711997723.

Today on 13 th of sep 2010 i called this guy to know abt the offer he told me the offer is not valid as the company is not manufacturing plasma 32 inch tv , He adviced me to purchase any product of videocon & get 20% discount on the mrp additional a discount of Rs 11,500.00 on the mrp ..

As per the entitlement certificate i am eligible to get a plasma 32 inch tv absolutely free after completion of 2 yrs 11 months, i will not take any other offer apart from this . as i invested in total Rs 20,000 when i made a purchase i was only interested in the offer, not in the jumbo tv.

Now as you are failed to fulfill the commitment i am taking this matter to the consumer court with in few days. You can call me at 9716112104 .

    We have purchase (3+3) pcs of Videocon 34″ Jumbo TVs on 07/11/2007 & 14/12/2007 Respectively from a Dealer of Video con Company M/s Sarna Refrigeration Sri Ganganagar (Raj) on 07/10/2007. Under Scheme “Mano Ya Na Mano”. In which Video con Guarantees & Promise us on purchase on each JUMBO TV give us Bond that after completion of 2 years & 11 month from purchase Date Company gives Free 32″ Plasma LCD from date of purchase on each JUMBO 34″ TVs. Dealer have Charged Total Rs 19990/-for each set. In whichRs.12990/- for TVs Cost & Rs 7000/- Security against Bond issued in lieu of Plasma 32″ LCD.Now after Completion of 2 years & 11 month from date of purchase on each TVs we gone to Dealer for get 32″ free Plasma LCD. He denies us & Says talk to Company. On the time of sale of this Scheme dealer not clear this thing that Company Issued directs LCD to us. Now when we talk Direct to Company. Now Company says that we have not manufactured these products. So now u have pay extra amount & we give u LCD

    Videocon Industries today communicated that consumers who brought 34“ flat color TV under the ‘Mano Ya Na Mano’ scheme, in which they were to get a plasma TV after 2 years and 11 months, have been given multiple options to redeem their bonds as per the terms and conditions of the offer. Company spokesperson stated that genuine customers who are bond holders after fulfilling the terms and conditions of offer like submission of proof of identity and payment of taxes will get desired products as per the options selected.

    Company stated that all consumer interest is well protected as per the terms and conditions and the consumers will be assisted by the company functionaries. To avoid confusion and queries, consumers can directly approach the local Videocon office for necessary assistance to comply with terms and conditions of the offer.

    Certain unscrupulous elements want to misuse the consumer offer by luring consumers to sell their bonds, which is being used for profiteering. The company is getting very good response for its redemptions and the multiple options offered to consumers.

    Complaint Details:-
    We purchased a Videocon jumbo 34″ flat CTV under the MAANO YA NA MAANO OFFER on 6-03-2008 from BABA ELECTRONICS DAMLE COMPLEX, STATION ROAD, KHANAPUR. BELGAUM.
    Under this scheme I am entitled for a scheme of MAANO YA NA MAANO OFFER , where I am supposed to get a plasma 32” inch after completion of 2 years & 11 months , the serial number of the certificate is 148312.
    Today I called Aurangabad branch at the no. 02431 251501/251887 and spoke the representative who was not answering to my queries she told me the offer is not valid as the company is not manufacturing plasma 32” inch TV and advised me to purchase other LCD by paying 13,300 difference+ Bond.
    As per the entitlement certificate I am eligible to get a Plasma 32 inch TV absolutely free after completion of 2 yrs 11 months, I will not take any other offer apart from this. As I invested in total Rs 20,000 when I made a purchase I am only interested in the offer, not in the jumbo tv.
    Also the website; http://videoconworld.com/MAANOYANAMAANO/Process.html states; 32” PLASM TV on offer does not have a REMOTE, Why is this? How are you going to operate a TV without a remote?
    Upgraded version of 32” Plasma TV with advanced features such as HDMI, AV in facility with Remote control, in such case you will have to pay Rs.16990/- (Rs. Sixteen thousand nine hundred ninety only) as an additional cost for the same.
    VIDEOCON industries is cheating people in the name of offers. I am taking this matter to the consumer court with in few days. You can call me at 9886692767.

    I will make sure this message reaches everyone opting for a VIDEOCON PRODUCT, It portrays the company’s dishonesty and cheating tendency.

    Dear Sir/Madam,
    I had purchased videocon Jumbo 34 inch color TV on 20.01.08 from Arihant Enterprises Bangalore under Mano ya na Mano offer/scheme. According to this offer/scheme, i have paid additional INR 7000 apart from the 12900 INR paid for 34 inch Jumbo color TV. The company(videocon) has issued a bond for INR 7000 i had paid. According to this bond, i am entitled to get a 32 inch plasma TV for free after 35 months from date of purchase. Now when 35 months have passed and i called up Videocon local branch(Mr.Syed), he said that i need to pay additional INR 4980 for taxes and INR 400 for installation.
    The condition 12 of the bond mentions as below(copy/pasting as it is from the bond).
    “The transportation cost from the said point (respective branch office of videocon Industries Ltd) and all local taxes shall be borne by the customer”.
    So is the local tax INR 4980?

    Can someone from Videocon explain what is meant by local tax and why it is exactly INR 4980? How they arrived at this number? Also clearly explain what is local tax and why is to so high?
    Is the Government of India aware of this scheme and is this collection of local tax approved by the Government of India?

    The most disheartening part is the breach of trust by Videocon industried Ltd. I am heartbroken and feel absolultely cheated. How can some one claim INR 4980 for local tax? Is this really local? For eg. i am staying in Bangalore, so it should have been only the transportation cost and taxes in Bangalore, right?
    Is this the VAT? If so can someone from Videocon justify it and also quote the MRP of the Plasma 32 inch TV? If this is VAT, then bond should have mentioned it as VAT. But in bond, its called “local tax”. So please justify this and also justify the amount being asked INR 4980.

    Having waited 3 years for this eagerly, now i feel cheated. The plasma TV videocon is providing also lacks basic features like A/V in and Remote(according to the company website)!!!!!! Goodness me. This is unbelievable and deserves to be 8th wonder of the world (TV without A/V in and remote these days).

    This is clear looting the people of India and breach of trust.
    Why i had to pay INR 7000 and wait for 3 full years and now pay additional 4980+400 = 5380 INR to get a product which lacks basic TV features.

    If i had invested that money for that matter in any good mutual fund/stocks, i would have almost doubled the money by now ie it would have been 14000 INR. So effectively i will be paying INR 14000+5380(what company claims as local tax+installation now) around 19380 INR. This is definitely not as advertised by company 3 years ago. Also the company has updated its website now only and speaking about this now only. Like this, any one can manipulate and say anything and then later update at any time. What happened to the promise made 3 years ago?
    Why the company did not give the same information 3 years ago while advertizing? Why it advertized as “Get free 32 inch plasma TV”. By free the company means 5390 INR? Why this hidden agenda and breach of trust?

    This is really very disheartening to see the way company is behaving. I did not expect this from company like videocon. Probably thatswhy the company had named the scheme “Mano ya na Mano” :-( .I did Mano(believed in videocon) but they have broken my trust completely now. Moreover who will compensate for my wait of 3 years of wait/sacrifice for not purchasing and enjoying plasma TV, just waiting all the while to get the videocon 32 inch plasma TV??? I did not purchase other LCD/Plasma TV and waited eagerly for this thinking i will get a free good quality 32 inch Plasma TV. But now the story is totally different, pay additional amount INR 4980 + INR 400 for installation and get a product that lacks even basic features expected in TV by default these days. Totally unexpected and a shocker from company like videocon.If companies like Videocon can stoop to such levels, then only God can save Indian citizens.
    Videocon are you listening? Do you value your customer sentiments/emotions?? Do you respect/care for their trust and your commitment???

    Please help me and people of India who had purchased the TV under this scheme get right and a good product for their money without further exploitation. Videocon should respect the trust of all who believed in Videocon and entered the scheme. To say in 1 line, please provide justice.

    videocon will loose its customers no one will even look at or think of videcon for generations for the cheating.mr. dhoot will be white washed

    Why dont you find similar people who are duped by Videocon and consult a good lawyer and file a case in the consumer court?? This is a prima facie attemptby Videocon to defraud and dupe consumers!

    My Plasma 32 (81) Entitlement Certificate (Non-transferable) Sr. No. is 158766 issued at Aurangabad. I have surrendered the certificate on 9.7.2011 (in orgional) for plasma…but I have not received any reply or refund of amount deposited or any communication. I am also pursuing this case with the Department of Consumer Affairs..who are taking action against such culprits
