Complaint Against Mimis Cafe

IN January of 2010 I was walking into the Mimi’s Cafe in Lone Tree Colorado for breakfast. It was nearly 9AM, so they had been open for some time. As I stepped onto the front walk, I hit a sheet of ice and fell very hard, cutting my knee, and suffering significant impact to my neck, shoulder, hip, back and knee. I missed the metal edge of a bench with my head by less than an inch. When I could finally get up (no one helped, even though I was in clear view of the entry and dining room) I limped in and told the manager, who promptly had ice melt put down. It was too late for me. She appologized and said Mimi’s would take care of me.

I have never had a slip and fall before so I believed her. Despite seeing two doctors that day for treatment and proof of injury, and missing two weeks of work, and having numerous treatment to recover, Mimi’s has apparently instructed their insurance carrier to stall and delay me and try to get me to go away.

I have more than $3000 in doctor bills just from the fall, plus lost earnings.

Shame on Mimi’s. Beware of supporting a company that does not care if you nearly die on their front walkway due to their negligence!

    You should try working at Mimi’s Cafe. They treat their employees really bad and don’t care what you think even if you’ve worked there for over 7 years. If you try to get a problem or issue taken care of by a manager, district manager, or Human Resources, the issue is never taken care of and it just sits there. They all cover their own asses and could care less about their employees and even more so about their customers.

    Mimis contantly goes up and down with their quality of food. Since the 1980′s i have on and off been a return patron. Recently, in what you would think is a city where the quality would be put #1, in Irvine California, about two week ago, my wife and i ordered the filet of sole, the fish was dry and warm the spinach portion under was a paltry amount and the mashed potatos dry. We asked three relative to meet us while there and the Salmon ordered was a small portion below 6 onces as promised on the menu. The supervislor was promised to reduce our bill then she lied and came back taking off a drink for $2.50 and a coupon for fee appetizers next trip. i promise you there will be no more and no next trip and Mimis has done in one of her most precisous commodities, return customers.

    i have read the comment about the managers not caring about the employess and customers, it just shows that restaurants bought out by other companies are ruthless money mongers. Mimis your reputation is gone for ever. i will never and anyone i come across ever be a patron again.
