Complaint Against Sony Handycam

I HAVE DEPOSITED MY SONY HANDICOM CAMERA SET TO YOUR SONY SERVICE CENTTRE AT 64, AUROBINDA SARANI, KOLKATA 700 005 WITH COMPLAIN NO PICTURE IN LCD PANEL. SCRATCHY WHICH AFTER REPAIR HAS BEEN HANDED OVER TO ME ON 21.3.2011 WITH REMARKS FP-185 REPLACED, SET MADE OK.ON PAYMENT OF A SUM OF RS.2021/- INCLUDING SERVICE CHARGE. LOG NO. 858432 SERIAL NO. 326815. BUT ON TEST, IT HAS BEEN FOUND THAT THE CASSETE IS NOT BEING OPENED. NEXT DAY, THE SET HAS BEEN REDEPOSITED BY ME FOR RECTIFICATION. TWO DAYS AFTER I HAVE RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM YOUR SERVICE CENTRE THAT A SUM OF RS.4700/- TO BE DEPOSITED FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE CASTTE COMPONENT WHICH WAS ABSOLUTELY O.K. AT THE TIME OF MY FIRST DEPOSIT OF THE SET. I IMMEDIATELY VISITED YOUR SERVICE CENTRE ON 24.3.2011 LOG NO.859981 SERIAL NO. 326815 WHEN I HAVE RECEIVED MOST UNEXPECTED ILL TREATMENT FROM THE PERSONNEL (LADY) AT THE COUNTER AT THE SERVICE CENTRE. AT MY QUERY, SHE THREATENED THAT THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OF THE RECTIFICATION OF THE COMPLAIN IF THE SET IS DELIVERED WITH COMMENT “SET MADE OK”. AT THIS JUNCTURE, MY QUESTION IS WHY FOR THE SERVICE CENTRE IF SERVICE (AT LEAST GOOD BEHAVIOUR) IS NOT PROVIDED FROM THE CENTRE ? WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO MOVE TO THE CONSUMER FORUM AND/OR OMBUDSMAN FOR DEFICIENCY OF SERVICES FROM A REPUTED SERVICE SECTOR LIKE YOURS ?
