Ebay India Paisa Pay is Not Safe
I want to share my experience with all people in India who are using Ebay.in to buy products and Using Paisa Pay they feel that they are safe. The fact is that its not safe even if you file a Paisa Pay Claim after getting cheated by the seller and winning the claim as well !!!
Yes, thats true, you won’t get your money back even if you win the claim in Paisa Pay ( PayPal equivalent in Ebay India)
Here is my story with supporting credentials:-

I purchased this item on April 09, 2009 and the item I received was defective. So, I contacted the seller and he asked me to return the item. So, I opened a dispute (DisputeID=208327294) and returned the item to seller. On same dispute page ( http://rebulk.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ResolveDispute&DisputeID=208327294 ) seller acknowledged the receipt and promised to refund the money by cheque ( check) to my bank account. I contacted eBay’s support to confirm if its ok. The reply I received was to go ahead. So, I provided bank details to the seller. However, he did not sent me any money and so I referred the case to ebay but received no reply within 7 days as claimed.
(Within 7 days, eBay will email you with further claim instructions.)
I waited for another few days but then finally filed a PaisaPay claim to get refunded by ebay. This is eBay Purchase Protection Program Claim # 1696143. This was handled by Ria and after 2 months she replied that the claim has been resolved in my favor.

I did not understand why they asked me to wait for 60 days to receive the draft at that time. So I decided to wait.Now I realize that did so to take a chance that I might forget about this case and they will save this little cash.
Today its been 7 long months and I still don’t have money from the Paisa Pay claim that I won. Now you see how safe you are when buying from ebay. I am lucky that it was only a small transaction or it would have been a blunder!
But if Ebay thinks that I will let it go, they are wrong. I will fight it to end not for my Rs 386 but for larger cause of exposing them to the public and saving people from getting ripped off on ebay.in.
If you have also suffered and have an equally strong case, then join hands with me to bring ebay India to start honoring Paisapay claims. I might actually claim a compensation of above 1 lakh if I have to go to the consumer court.
