Kotak Mahindra Bank Complaint

I am really irritated now after calling 5 times to this bank for my bank statement for the month of Nov 2009 till 30th april,as its on urgent basis. Customer Service people are fooling always saying we are sending you the copy right now i am waiting for the same last 5 days now,kindly help my a/c no is ….0410.

    Hi

    This is a post to alert the current and prospective clients of the bank Kotak MAhindra.

    This bank is wrong right from the time they want us to open account with their highly unprofessional bank. You have to fillk up a form by submitting relevant docs which i did through their concerned person named Ayush(who has now left)..Some kotak mahindra employee filled all details incorrectly in their database including my dob and phone number AND address!! As i did not have problems initially as i was transacting through deb card there was no issue…the truth about the non profesionalism of this bank came to light after i lost my deb card and had used up all my cheques..

    I tried doing fund transfer but for some reason my pre generated password did not work and no one at call center vould tell me why..

    I tried to generatye new password and it came to light that all my info with the bank was wrong and so i could not generate new password as i was advised to go to any branch and updatre relevant info and docs like drivers lic etc…

    This was just the begining..

    I went to the kondwa branch as it was close to me and the first question the clent eemployee asked me was why did i go to the kondwa branch and not to any other branch and started directing me to some other branch much to the embarassment of the other customers sitting around…somehow i managed to get my tel no changed however no one at branch ot cc told me i would have to wait for 30 days to generate new pwd as i have ammended my phone recently though i made it clear that i was in need of funds and was doing al this to do fund trfr as i could not wait till new deb card or chk book was issued!!!!

    Additionally the guy amit jain at kondwa branch refused to accept drivers licence as proof top update dob and said they need pan card!!somehow i managed to have him speak to cc as they hads specifically told me driv lic would be ok!!

    I went out the bank feeling like an imposter …the bank employees treated me like i was trying to swindle money out of someone elses account!!! That too inspite of me having all relevant docs and made me feel unwelcome by constantly dfirecting me to some other branch…that was when i decided enough is enough and i want to closed this account immediately

    So i tried doing fund transfer with update new info and it tells me you cannot do any transaction online for anothert 30 days!!! can you believe that! I did al this for fund transfer and for whatr ? this!!!???

    So reluctantly i ordered for a chk book at the home add and 5 days later when i called to know status i was told at cc that someone called anil has taken delivery…there was no one at my house by that name and my parents said they never recd anything anfd the guy francis at cctold me it was definitely at the home add.,..my parents got worried and checked at all flats in the building and no one knew anil or no one had any knoledge about it!!!

    by this time i really wanted to make police complaint and was going to do that when i called cc again and this time another cc agent says to me no it was not delivered at your add but was at the home branch !!! She told me you can go there with driv lic and collect it…

    Im still not sure if i will get it bec cc says one thing and branch says something else..i started all this with tthe idea of fund trfr as i needed money urgently and due to all the mistakes of the bank itself its two weeks now and i neither have a netbanking pwd nor the cb.

    Ive had to borrow money from my kind relatives and i am making sure that whoever asks me for feedback for KITAK mahindra bank i tell them about the above incident.

    I am only telling the facts as they are and none of the above is my opinion.

    If you cant get money when you want form a bank and if the bank harasses the clients while withdrwing money like above what is the point of banking with them

    And its nt just me…my other colleagues have gone thorugh similar issues too with the same bank..
