Pathetic Post-Sales Service by Bharti Airtel DTH

We are an existing customer of Airtel Digital TV. Customer ID is 3004154937. We have paid a sum of Rs. 4550/- for one year subscription towards South Ultra Package on 23-05-2010.

We are experiencing bad quality transmission with frequent Error Code: 2 message display repeatedly, with no display of any channel
subsequently.

We have managed to lodge complaints just twice to the customer care executives on phone while we faced the problem on numerous occasions. It is a very cumbersome procedure to get to customer care executives over the telephone.

I have visited the regional office at Kundanbagh branch in Hyderabad and customer service was poor.

Earlier we were guided through some steps over telephonic conversation with customer care. But the problem is occurring repeatedly. Personal attention is required.

Our complaint number is 3110075, dated 21-06-2010 for reference on 18001028080 and the executive was one Mr. Chandra Sekhar.

The Mechanic has visited twice in response to our complaints and restored the channels. But when the problem is occurring repeatedly, we contacted him again for a solution. He demands Rs. 600 for changing the Viewing Card inside the Setup box. We demand that the replacement shall be free of cost as we have purchased it not even 2 months ago to this day.

Relating to this issue we have once again spoken to the Airtel digital TV customer care executive latest on 19-07-2010 and lodged a complaint. The executive promised to connect to higher authority for speedy action but it did not happen and the call was disconnected.

We regard this as very poor and unsatisfactory post-sales service.
Also one channel by name Bhakti channel (Telugu) was earlier included in our package and is now not available for viewing. The reason cited is that due to some technical problem it was not provided. But instead of that i was told by the executive navvulu tv is being offered. But that Navulu TV is also not offered for free and it demands further subscription. This is very bad as we have purchased this Airtel connection among the other providers in DTH market solely because Bhakti Channel is being provided which now not available.

Immediate and permanent restoration is never done.
