Poor Services By Tata Photon Plus

I am one of those royally fooled customers of Tata Photon Plus. I have taken this connection yesterday near Tata Indicom Showroom, Akkayapalem.

I was told the signal in Akkayapalem is min 1mbps and in Seethammadhara it will be better than that.

When they activated the equipment, it showed speed upto 512 kbps in akkayapalem and then I was told by cust serv rep that a booster will be installed at my home and it will enhance the speed upto 2mbps (never told that it is wired equipment and will have to sit in one place and work).

The next day…they installed booster… to my suprise it never crossed 1mbps (horrible signal). I went to seethammadhara assuming that signal will be better and once again fooled myself…. worse than akkayapalem (signal never crossed 200 kbps).

Worthless investment.

This is not a complaint against showroom … this is a complaint against Tata Tele Services Ltd for providing such a poor..rather real horrible signal service.

can’t even imagine recommending this product to anyone.

    im using TataPhoton for a year now. it was very good the first 6 months and then suddenly it started slowing down. it bought a lot of virus to my laptop tooo. I have been updating antivirus every week. and i use the latest software.

    The post paid monthly rental was decent. but the last few months im starting to recieve bills upto Rs 5000/-

    I dont know why this is happening, i think i need to change.

    512kbps or 1 mbps is far better than, reliance netconnect+ they promise up to 3.1 mbps, it at times doesn’t even cross 15 or 20 kbps, worst than a dialup speed some times.

    It’s TATA so I guess you are lucky to atleast get 512kbps it is broadband.

    im getting 6 to 15kbps speed in tata photon plus and its a unlimited plan. In tata photon plus showroom, it showed me 1.5 mbps, but when i tested it in my house, it is giving 6-15kbps max. the showroom is located just 3km away!!!.

    YOU are lucky to get 512 kbps.
