Tata Indicom Photon Plus Complaint

I bought photon plus last year with 2GB day and 10GB night free plan.I went through all the details regarding plan as thoroughly as one educated customer can go.

This month i got unsually high amounted bill and when i went through details of detailed bill(got it from Tata on request), i noticed that i was wrongly charged.

On discussing with customer support rep., he told me that i started downloading at 10:56pm when my plan says downloading is free from 11pm. So, whatever i have downloaded is going to be counted in day time even if its 1 sec before 11pm.

He told me that even if its not mentioned in company’s consmer manual/leaflet, i should be aware that i should have disconnected and reconnect my connection at 11pm. so that server could know.

He also said that only a fool doesnt know the meaning of 10GB night free plan from 11pm to 7am, although it is a “catch” nowhere mentioned in the vicinity of plan.He also recited that the Tata servers cant automatically detect time.

I am amazed how these ancient servers even clock data into modern USB modem if they can’t even synchronise time and generate right reports without user intervention.Poor application written on poor device drivers!!!!

So, TATA-INDICOM’s self imposed ignorance of outdated technology to strip off simple consumers of their money is helping them to reap good turnover.Hail them!!!!
